Choctaw Nation History

Since it is Native American Month, check out the Choctaw Nation history web site. It has lots of historical information on the Choctaws. It is split up in seven sections: Documents, Choctaw Nation History, Obituaries, Treaty Dates, Pre- and Post-Removal Government Treaties and People. The Documents section includes PDF versions of the Indian Reorganization Act and the Constitution of the Choctaw Nation. The Pre- and Post-Removal Government Treaties sections have brief information about each treaty as well as the PDF versions of those treaties. The section on People is separated by Chiefs, Code Talkers and Original Enrollees.
